About Old Webster Farm
This is truly a family farm. And it’s been in our family since 1947 when Harold and Vivian Webster moved here from their previous farm in Wilton, WI. We no longer have cows or even the old barn, which fell down a few years ago. But we still have grandpa’s old tractor. It’s an early 1950’s Allis-Chalmers WD-45. And every day it decides to run, it’s our everyday tractor.
Even before we became certified organic, we were committed to sustainable agricultural practices. We avoid plastic mulches and prefer to grow open-pollinated and heirloom vegetable varieties, saving as much of our own seed as we can. Our specialty crops include baby fennel, baby leeks, garlic and 75+ varieties of heirloom tomatoes. But we also try to grow a little bit of everything.
